Gentle, Healing Touch for Seniors — In-Studio or In-Home Care Available

Aging brings wisdom, resilience — and sometimes, discomfort. At Anointed-Bodyworks Massage Therapy, we specialize in massage therapy for elderly clients that is both safe and restorative. Our approach supports physical comfort, improved mobility, and emotional well-being in clients facing age-related challenges.

Whether at our private studio in Huntersville, NC, or through mobile appointments to your home or senior living facility, we meet older adults where they are — with compassion, skill, and respect.

Why Massage Matters for Aging Bodies

As we grow older, the body undergoes natural changes: joint stiffness, muscle tension, reduced circulation, and chronic pain often become part of daily life. Massage therapy can help seniors manage these symptoms in a gentle, non-invasive way.

Regular massage for elderly clients may support:

  • Improved circulation and lymphatic flow

  • Decreased muscle tension and stiffness

  • Enhanced joint flexibility and range of motion

  • Relief from arthritis-related pain

  • Reduced anxiety, depression, or isolation

  • Better sleep and nervous system regulation

  • A sense of connection and peace through safe, respectful touch

John Angles brings over 30 years of hands-on massage therapy experience, including years working with elderly clients in-home, in-studio, and in assisted living environments.

What to Expect During a Session

Every elderly massage session is customized to the client’s current condition, comfort level, and health needs. We use gentle techniques, focused positioning, and supportive bolstering to ensure safety throughout.

Your session may include:

  • Light to moderate pressure

  • Passive stretching or guided range of motion (as needed)

  • Work on hands, feet, back, neck, or joints

  • Positioning aids for spine, hips, or knees

  • Optional massage while seated or lying on the side

  • Quiet environment with calming music or silence

We adjust everything based on the client’s medical history, current medications, mobility level, and communication preferences.

In-Studio or Mobile Options Available

We offer elderly massage in two settings:

In-House Appointments (Huntersville Studio)

Ideal for clients who can travel and prefer a calm, private setting for their treatment.

Mobile Massage for Seniors

We travel to homes, senior apartments, assisted living facilities, and care centers. Sessions are fully portable and adapted to your environment.

If you’re a caregiver or family member booking on behalf of a loved one, we’ll help make the process simple and supportive.
